Gdansk Convention Bureau's primary objectives are to promote Gdansk and the Region as the conference destination in the international arena and assist organizers in their planning.
This will be achieved by means of undertaking a variety of actions with the aim of promoting the city among potential conference organisers who will thus be encouraged to consider Gdańsk as a venue for their events.
We are proud to inform you that on 13th August 2007 GCB became an acknowledged member of the International Congress & Convention Association (ICCA).
Currently one of the major projects carried out by Gdańsk Convention Bureau (GCB) is the promotional campaign "Business tourism promotion as the trademark of Gdansk and Pomerania".The project is co-financed from the Regional Operational Programme for Pomorskie Province 2007-2013.
Gdańsk Convention Bureau operates within the framework of Gdańsk Tourist Organization, an association of over 100 members, with the City of Gdańsk as its major member.
The total value of the project is 2 958 393.00 PLN. The amount of financing from EU funds is 2 082 820.00 PLN. The project is planned for three years - until the end of 2011.
We believe that the promotional campaign will bring the desired results and will increase the number of business events held in Gdansk and Pomerania and the number of tourists coming to our region for business.
