Expansion of the Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport
The growing number of passengers who use the Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport, and the perspective of holding the EURO 2012 European Football Championship necessitate swift expansion of the airport. Hence, the advanced preparations to the construction of the new passenger terminal and apron. The European Solidarity Centre to be erected on the ex-Gdańsk Shipyard estate is intended as a special form means of commemorating the events and people engaged with the struggle for freedom and democracy world wide. The Gdańsk Science and Technology Park
Opened in September 2008, the Gdańsk Science and Technology Park (GPN-T) is a joint venture of the Pomeranian Voivodship, City of Gdańsk, and the Gdańsk University of Technology.
