The Gdańsk Science and Technology Park
Opened in September 2008, the Gdańsk Science and Technology Park (GPN-T) is a joint venture of the Pomeranian Voivodship, City of Gdańsk, and the Gdańsk University of Technology. It was set up in a modernised and expanded post-industrial facility at Trzy Lipy Street in Gdańsk.
The park lies close to the three prime higher schools of Pomerania: the Gdańsk University of Technology, Medical University, and University of Gdańsk. By leasing space to businesses dealing in modern technologies and cooperating with the academic centres the park is meant to become the place where science, economy, and enterprise meet. At
present, another stage in the park expansion is in preparation. On its completion, the centre will gain two modern office blocks. The park’s total usable floor area will go up to 40 thousand square metres.
