Ergo Arena - this is the name given to the newly opened Performance and Sports Hall situated at the border of Gdansk and Sopot  It is located in the area between the sea and the railway line, near the station Gdansk Zabianka, Sopot Wyscigi and racing racecourses.

It’s here, at Ergo Arena, on 18 August 2010 the first extraordinary spectacle of sport with the participation of Volunteers for Gdansk was held! The volunteers were situated in the most strategic locations along the route leading to the Hall - at Zabianka SKM, SKM Sopot Wyscigi, hubs tram and bus. They willingly provided information to arriving fans and pointed to the fastest pathways for the match.

The best team the world met on the volleyball floor. Polish national team - World Cup runners and ninefold winner of World League - team from Brazil. Both teams appeared in the strongest configurations. Polish volleyball players defeated the Brazilians 3-2 in straight sets!

After the exciting game, Volunteers for Gdansk, with great enthusiasm, took their positions outside the hall to show enjoying the victory Polish fans the way out. For better communication they used radiotelephones which were very helpful while the whole event.
