At the beginning of 2009 Gdańsk Tourist Organisation (GTO) and Gdańsk Convention Bureau (GCB) extended the scope of their activity by introducing business and individual tourism surveys. The surveys are aimed at monitoring, analysing and creating the database of all sorts of business meetings as well as the movements of individual tourists. The surveys cover such areas as Gdańsk, Sopot, Gdynia and several facilities in the Pomeranian Voivodeship with over 200 participants. The outcome of the surveys will provide conclusive statistical evidence for potential meeting organisers. It will prove that Gdańsk and the Pomeranian Voivodeship can organise a large variety of meetings.
